Corine Hurst Health Journey

July 27, 2022

Hello Corine’s sweet friends and family

We wanted to let everyone know that we found out of Monday that mom has what is called

METASTATIC NEUROENDOCRINE TUMOR cancer.  Also known as NIT

We have a meeting this morning with the oncologist today and should learn a lot more information and answers later.

I have put this blog together to give mom her family and friends to know her progress, because it is hard for her to talk all the time,

This will also be the place where everyone can send mom any notes you would like. Please feel free to send the link

out to whomever you feel would to follow.

8/21- Follow up.

Alot has happened and I am sorry I have not updated in awhile.  Om went in the hospital last Thursday and I am finally in a place where I can update more offer.

As most of you know mom has been in the hospital for the last 10 days.

They are treating her for pneumonia, which we thought we had beat, but yesterday, she started having more congestion, so today they are going to do another X-ray.

Today she is very tired and her cough is back. It’s a constant roller coaster ride. 2 days ago she sat up several hours and did great physical therapy and since then she has been exhausted

She is being moved to a Acute Long Term Care Hospital in the Med Center called Cornerstone. We expect that to happen on Monday.

I will work hard to update this everyday.

Please pass this link on. Thank you. As you can imagine, it is impossible for me to keep up with all her friends. She loves you all.

Monday 8/22

, mom is doing so well that she is no longer going to the LCAT, she is going to a Rehab Center and they only expect her to be there for a week or so. Prayers have been answered for our momma. She will be here for 2 more days and then they will transport her to Memorial Herman/University Place TIRR. So if anyone wants to come see her tomorrow, I know she would love to see her sweet friends.

August 24

Hi friends of mom, we are still at the hospital awaiting insurance approval for the TIRR

Facility. Mom is doing really well with her walking. Today we had a shower, washed her hair and I’m gettin ready to curl it to make her even more beautiful. Hopefully tomorrow we can get out of here and get on with her recovery!
